When visiting the factory in November Juche 106 (2017), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un stressed the need to turn it into a world-level tractor factory and gave precious teachings for its modernization.

Various units, involved in its modernization project, manufactured more than 10 kinds of facilities and devices which are of significance in improving the efficiency of tractors and updating the processes, including the glass fiber reinforced plastics production process.

They also completed a flexible manufacturing system equipped with various machinery and equipment, including horizontal machining center and automatic guided vehicle, and an electric spark coating machine and manufactured an emission spectrum analyzer and other analyzers.

Workers and technicians of the factory introduced the CNC system into main machine tools and made a progress in updating the old production equipment.

The factory founded on September 25, 1954, was visited by President Kim Il Sung 34 times and by Chairman Kim Jong Il 10 times.

Under the wise guidance and deep care of the peerlessly great men, it has been developed into a leading tractor producer conducive to realizing the comprehensive mechanization of the rural economy.
