Speeches were made at the seminar.

Speakers in the speeches titled "On nonsmoking campaign in our country" and "Tobacco and lung health" said that tobacco has a decisive impact on the outbreak of non-infectious diseases, and called for positive public awareness of nonsmoking campaign.

They referred to the harmful effects of smoking on human health and socio-economic life, the importance of tobacco control and hygienic information service and other issues.

The participants watched a video on the harm of tobacco before visiting the Non-smoking Research Center.

On the same day, no-smoking information service was given at the hygienic information halls and preventive and curative medical care institutions in Pyongyang and provinces.
