Jozef Servista, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association who is deputy general secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party and chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from June 4 to July 10 and decided to organize political and cultural functions including seminar and film show to praise the revolutionary career and exploits of the President in the period.
