Struggle for Uprooting Deep-Seated Evils Called for in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 13 (KCNA) -- The Taejon Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration and other organizations in south Korea held a meeting at the Taejon City Office building on June 10 to call for turning out in the struggle to do away with deep-seated evils in the spirit of the June resistance, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.

They noted that those who distorted the history and erased democratization through pro-Japanese acts, military dictatorship, judicial murder, torture crimes and reptile media should be punished.

Saying that a new era of change opened and the candlelight regime was established by struggling in the spirit of June resistance, they underscored the need to build a new society as desired by the people after uprooting the deep-seated evils.
