Drought Lingers in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Drought has been persisting in some areas of the DPRK.

According to data from the State Hydro-meteorological Administration, there were rainfalls in most parts of the country between June 8 and 10, but the amount of precipitation badly varied in different localities.

In particular, Hwangju, Jaeryong and other areas in the Jaeryong River basin and some areas of the east coast like Riwon, Myonggan and Kyongsong witnessed no rainfall or a little rainfall.

Weather experts forecast that some areas of the east and west coasts will witness a little rainfall on June 15-17 and the precipitation in the south of the central west coast in late June will be 70-80 percent of the average (33.3 mm).
