Members of Art Squads of Women's Union Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites in Mt Paektu Area
Hyesan, June 14 (KCNA) -- Members of the art squads of the women's union from across the country toured the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu from June 5 to 14.

They departed Hyesan and reached Pochonbo, where they laid bouquets and made a bow before the statue of President Kim Il Sung.

Being briefed on the personality of the President as a great man, they looked round the command post of the Battle of Pochonbo, the police sub-station, etc.

They headed for the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site and Chongbong and Konchang Bivouacs.

They visited Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.

At the Samjiyon Grand Monument they went round the shore of Lake Samji, groups of subsidiary theme sculptures, etc.

They also toured the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Musan Area and the Sinpha Revolutionary Site.

They handed aid materials to shock brigade members in the township of Samjiyon County now under remodeling and helped them in their work while conducting a contest of agitation for speeding up the remodeling.

They visited the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station and held colorful political and cultural events like a meeting to hear impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas and recital of poems.
