Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Jordanian and Angolan personages released statements to mark the first anniversary of adoption of the historic June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement. Marwan Sudah, chairman of the Arab Committee for Solidarity with Korean People and Supporting the Reunification of Korea, said on June 10 that the first DPRK-U.S. summit meeting and talks took place thanks to bold decision of H.E. Kim Jong Un to put an end to the inglorious past history and open up a new future. He went on: The international community hopes that the DPRK and the U.S. whose relations were most hostile on the earth would improve the relations for global peace. If the U.S. wants to sit together with the DPRK again for the settlement of the issues, it is important for the U.S. to respect the dialogue partner and find a new way of calculation. The international secretary of the Youth Organization of the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola noted in a statement on June 7 that the adoption of the DPRK-U.S. joint statement was a historic event as it gave a great shock to the whole world. The statement extended full support to the DPRK in its efforts for implementing the DPRK-U.S. joint statement. It sincerely wished the Korean people success in their struggle for peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world. |
