"The Workers' Party of Korea Organizes and Guides All the Victories of Our People", "Let Us Further Strengthen Our Single-hearted Unity and Give Full Play to the Korean-Nation-First Spirit" and other works specify the tasks and ways for defending the tradition of the unity and cohesion centered on the leader and steadily strengthening the driving force of the revolution.

"On Making a Decisive Advance in the Building of a Great, Prosperous and Powerful Socialist Country" and "The Songun-Based Revolutionary Line Is a Great Revolutionary Line of Our Era and an Ever-Victorious Banner of Our Revolution" and other works clarify that the single-minded unity, which defended the red flag of socialism despite the moves of the imperialist allied forces to isolate and stifle the DPRK and the economic difficulties, serves as the lifeline of Korean-style socialism and invincible treasured sword.

In the last period of his great life Kim Jong Il published "The Workers' Party of Korea Is a Great Party that Carries forward and Implements Victoriously the Revolutionary Cause of Comrade Kim Il Sung" and "We Must Carry forward and Implement down through Generations the Revolutionary Cause of Juche Pioneered on Paektu" and other works , in which he requested the whole party, the entire army and all the people to remain loyal to the idea and guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and carry forward the single-minded unity generation after generation.
