Japan's Overseas Expansion Leads to Self-destruction: Minju Joson
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- Japan's increased military cooperation with the U.S. has been witnessed even in the South Sea of China.

It is proved by a recent joint drill of escort ship of the Japan Maritime "Self-Defence Force" Izumo and the U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan in the South Sea of China. Sankei Shimbun said that the drill was designed to contain China's advance into the sea.

Minju Joson Wednesday in a commentary says:

Japan's move is reminiscent of the inglorious past of Imperial Japan which expanded a war to the continent of China following the invasion of Korea.

What is different from the past is that it invaded China alone during the Second World War, but now it tries to achieve its aim of reinvasion with the backing of the U.S.

It is an ulterior intention of the Japanese reactionaries to realize the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere", which was not realised in the last century, at any cost with the help of the U.S.

The Japanese reactionaries should clearly know that the present world is not the world where the Japanese imperialists obsessed with the aggression of the continent run amuck and Japan's overseas expansion is a pipedream.

If the Japanese reactionaries persist in realizing their anachronistic ambition for overseas expansion in spite of the bitter denunciation at home and abroad, it will lead Japan to self-destruction.
