Victor Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, is the chairman of the committee and its members are Russian personages of various strata.

The remembrance committee decided to hold political and cultural events such as remembrance meeting in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the President's demise.
