Books on History of Struggle of Korean People Published in Indonesia
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Books "The Struggle of the DPRK for Defending Sovereignty" and "Eternal Beacon" were brought out by a publishing house of Indonesia to mark the 55th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

A ceremony of releasing those books took place at the Indonesian Jaya Suprana Music Institute on June 12.

Attending the ceremony were the national secretary of the Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture and the chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy who authored the books.

Also present there were personages of the Indonesian Jaya Suprana Music Institute, Bungkarno University and the Indonesia-Korea Association for Friendship and Cultural Exchange and the secretary of the New Zealand-DPRK Society, the co-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea and others.

Speeches were made there.

Raymond Ferguson, national secretary of the Australia-DPRK Association for Friendship and Culture, said that the path, which the Korean people have followed while decisively frustrating the strong-arm and arbitrary practices of the imperialists, was the one of victories recorded in history. He pointed out that he wrote the book to help people know well about the history of the praiseworthy struggle of the Korean people who have won victories under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, H.E. Kim Jong Il and H.E. Kim Jong Un.

Peter Woods, co-chairman of the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, said that the above-said books help readers make an objective understanding of the past and the present of the DPRK, adding that the desire of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for national reunification will surely come true thanks to H.E. Kim Jong Un.
