Breast Tumour Institute of Pyongyang Maternity Hospital
Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, the State is fully responsible for its citizens' life and health.

The advantages of its socialist health system can be felt through the Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital offering advanced medical service.

The institute has ultramodern equipment and facilities needed to conduct checkup and treatment and research into the breast diseases as well as treatment rooms and sick wards. And all kinds of medicines for its medical service are provided by the State.

What is noticeable is the fact that ordinary women get medical checkup and treatment at this modern institute free of charges.

The institute established a system of examining on a regular basis women's mastopathy at hospitals and clinics across the country in March and September every year.

Meanwhile, it conducts field service at factories, where numbers of women are working, to detect breast diseases at early stage and prevent them and ensures consultative meeting, lecture and training course with doctors of other health service organs through a telemedicine system.

The institute was built on the initiative of Chairman Kim Jong Il and under the meticulous guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Il gave an instruction on November 6, Juche 100 (2011), the last period of his life, that a breast tumour institute should be built at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.

Kim Jong Un dispatched servicepersons and solved all problems to build the institute on the highest level

Visiting the institute under construction in June 2012, he advised in detail that it should be assigned with experienced and competent doctors and researchers and furnished with ultramodern equipment and facilities.

And he stressed it is the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on preventive medicine to let women get regular medical examination at the institute so as not to be affected with mastopathy and breast cancer.
