The first secretary of the Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that thanks to Kim Jong Il's leadership, the WPK was able to firmly champion the country's prestige, the people's density and the socialism even in the period when socialism collapsed in some countries and the imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle the DPRK got undisguised.

The chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia and other speakers noted that Kim Jong Il set it as the foremost task to develop the WPK into the powerful party of the leader and creditably carried it out.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh and the president of the Bangladesh People's League stressed that Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into the staff of the Korean revolution with the Juche idea as its unique guiding ideology, and that his party-building exploits served as the motive force that propels the Korean people's cause of socialism.

Meanwhile, a seminar on Kim Jong Il's exploits was held by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union on June 10 to mark the said anniversary.
