Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania who is chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Romania, and Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, were elected chairmen of the remembrance committees.

The committees set the remembrance period from June 20 to July 8 and decided to hold political and cultural events in praise of the revolutionary career of Kim Il Sung in the period.
