Afforestation Makes Headway at Yangdok County Hot Spring Resort

| Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Afforestation is progressing apace at the Yangdok County Hot Spring Resort in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK under construction. More than 300,000 pine and pine-nut trees were planted in the area covering nearly 100 hectares this year. The General Bureau of Forest and the Academy of Forest Science under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and the Institute of Forest Science under the South Phyongan Provincial Forest Management Bureau have taken measures to tend the newly planted trees in a scientific and technological way. |
