We, with transparent class consciousness and strong national dignity, should fully display the reserved strength of Juche Korea and its spirit of certain victory by bringing about a new upsurge in all the sectors of socialist construction in our own way and by our own efforts and wisdom, the editorial says, adding:

It is only when we fully display the might of the self-supporting economy under the uplifted banner of self-reliance that we will further develop and grow stronger, and successfully attain the goal of building a powerful socialist country.

Self-reliance constitutes the foundation of the existence of Korean-style socialism and the motive force of its progress and the eternal lifeline to the Korean revolution.

Whatever path others may follow and whatever others may choose for their development, we have no option but to be self-reliant.

The sacred revolutionary cause to make all the people live a happy life in a dignified and powerful country can never take a step forward without the efforts and spirit of its own.

The dreams and ideals of the people will come true only by national independence and self-respect, and the key to achieving the great ambition to build a powerful country the world will envy is also self-support and its own efforts.
