The contest was held, divided into occupational categories of plaster, carpenter, welder, pipe-maker and lathe operator, at major construction sites and factories from May 23.

A closing ceremony of the contest of lathe operators took place at the Kusong City Hall of Culture on Wednesday.

Earlier, the contests of plasters and carpenters closed in Wonsan City and those of welders and pipe-makers in Sunchon City with due ceremonies.

At the closing ceremonies, the standings were made public and prizes were awarded to successful skilled workers.
