Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from July 1 to 8 and decided to organize political and cultural events including a lecture and a reading session.
