Kong Sam Ol, deputy prime minister in charge of the Royal Palace, was elected chairman of the committee upon the authorization by Norodom Sihamoni, king of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The committee decided to widely introduce the noble career and exploits of Kim Il Sung through media and organize a remembrance meeting, seminar, photo exhibition, film show and other events.
