Device for Removing Sulfide in Exhaust Fumes Developed

| Pyongyang, July 5 (KCNA) -- The Research Institute of Maritime Transport under the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport in the DPRK newly developed a device for removing sulfide in exhaust fumes from vessel. Its researchers completed a design of desulphurization process and employed ultramodern technology to develop the device. According to the test run of this device in a cargo ship, the discharge amount of sulfide is smaller than the permissible limit set by the International Maritime Organization. The development of the device helps protect marine ecosystem and ensure the normal voyage of various vessels, including cargo and passenger ships. |
