Ivan Draxler, chairman of the Slovak Association for Supporting and Studying the Juche Idea and chairman of the Slovakia-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events such as a remembrance meeting and a film show praising the career and exploits of Kim Il Sung.
