The concert started with a chorus of immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Il Sung." Put on the stage were numbers such as recital of the reminiscences of the President and song "Our Unforgettable Leader" and "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung". The performers praised Kim Il Sung's feats of liberating the country through hard-fought anti-Japanese struggle and building the socialist paradise of Juche full of happiness of the people on this land.

Instrumental music and serial songs "Envy Us", "Young People, Be Loyal to Our Party" and "We Advance under Uplifted Banner of Self-Reliance" showed great pride of the youth making a breakthrough in major fields of building a powerful socialist country.

Watching the concert were Ri Il Hwan, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Chol Min, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, officials of the youth league, teaching staff and pupils of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School and youth and students in the city.
