Loving Care Shown by Great Men for Russian Citizen
Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- Recorded in the history of the traditional DPRK-Russia friendship is a story about love and obligation shown by the peerlessly great men for an internationalist soldier, Y. T. Nobichenko, and his family.

Nobichenko was a former officer of the Soviet Army well known to the peoples of the DPRK and Russia.

He safeguarded President Kim Il Sung by covering a grenade, thrown by the reactionaries, with his own body at the celebrations held at Pyongyang Railway Station Square on March 1, Juche 35 (1946).

Never forgetting his heroic deed, the President met him on the way of his foreign tour and awarded the title of DPRK Labor Hero to him. And he frequently invited Nobichenko and his family to Pyongyang, showing all possible loving care and benevolence.

Chairman Kim Jong Il saw to it that Nobichenko and his family were accorded warm hospitality whenever they came to Pyongyang, and personally sent a message of condolences and a wreath to his bier in December 1994.

Recalling that time, Nobichenko's wife said: My eyes were blurred with tears over the fact that the great General Kim Jong Il sent the wreath carrying the mind of President Kim Il Sung and himself. I've never known such a fact that the leader of a country sent a wreath and a message to express condolences over the death of an ordinary foreign soldier.

During his visit to the Russian Federation, the Chairman let the train stop in a local station to meet Nobichenko's family and give them presents.

The love of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for Nobichenko and his family has been steadily carried forward by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

This story of loving care will be conveyed forever along with the history of the DPRK-Russia friendship.
