Present there were Kim Song Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, Chae Il Ryong, vice-chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee, officials concerned, camping groups of children from the DPRK, China, Russia, Vietnam, Laos, India and Germany and a camping group of overseas Korean children.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets and made a bow before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il at the camp.

A congratulatory address and speech were made at the ceremony.

During the camping, the children will conduct multifarious activities including maritime sports, amusement games and meetings for national days.
