A ceremony for departure took place in front of the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City on Thursday.

Present there were officials concerned, officials of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, and the participants in the study tour.

Pak Myong Jin, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report at the ceremony, which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers called upon the participants in the study tour to bear in mind and add luster to the revolutionary history and exploits of the peerlessly great persons associated with the revolutionary battle sites and revolutionary sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants left for the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site.
