Torrential Rain Witnessed in DPRK

| Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- According to data available at the Hydro-meteorological Administration of the DPRK, downpour hit some areas in the central part of the country from 00:00 of July 29 to 18:00 of July 31. Heavy rainfall of more than 150 mm was witnessed in some parts of South Phyongan Province and Pyongyang City. In particular, it rained 245 mm in Pukchang County and 219 mm in Maengsan County of the province and 211 mm in Samsok District of Pyongyang. The precipitation in Pyongyang and Nampho cities is 128 mm and 73 mm and that in South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces is 137 mm and 76 mm each. |
