All-people Candlelight Action Denouncing Japan Staged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- A candlelight rally took place near the Kwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on July 27 under the sponsorship of the "Citizens' Action to Denounce Abe for Distorting History, Invading Economy and Threatening Peace", according to the south Korean online paper Tongil News.

Present there were thousands of masses from across south Korea.

Speakers said that they would struggle to the end against Japan's improper acts of not admitting its unethical crimes.

They stressed that they would show anger of the people at Japan's impropriety with candlelight actions in all parts of south Korea on August 15.

And the participants marched to the Japanese embassy in Seoul, chanting such slogans as "Compensate the drafted workers!" and "Let's liquidate the pro-Japanese evils!"

On the same day, candlelight rallies were also held to condemn Japan's economic provocation in Pusan and South Kyongsang Province.
