Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Old People's Home was built on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River in the capital city of the DPRK on August 7, Juche 104 (2015).

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited it early in August 2015 and stressed that the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea for the care of the elderly should be thoroughly implemented by paying attention to them at all times and taking warm care of them.

The home in Korean style of architecture is equipped with all necessary facilities for old people's living and health such as bedroom, dining-room, library, exercise room, welfare and medical service facilities, hydroponic greenhouse and vegetable garden.

And a state supply system is established on a regular basis to satisfy the demands of health seekers for the material life.

Meanwhile, doctors of various hospitals and officials and working people of many units frequent the home with deep care for its inmates' health and life.

Ri Ok Ryon, a practical nurse of the home, told KCNA:

To take warm care of the elderly is beautiful manners of our society. I devote all my sincerity to their life and health.

Kim Ok Song, a 70-years-old inmate, said:

I read a newspaper article showing that in the world there are many old persons leading a lonely life and suffering from illness.

But we are respected as revolutionary forerunners while enjoying longevity under the grateful socialist system.
