In this regard Minju Joson Thursday says in a commentary:

It was an inevitability of history that the Japanese imperialists who had imposed untold misfortune and sufferings on the Korean nation and other nations of the world were defeated.

Under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung who declared the great anti-Japanese war, the Korean nation defeated the Japanese imperialists and successfully carried out the historic cause of national liberation through powerful all-people resistance.

Korea's liberation showed that the people led by an outstanding leader surely emerge victorious. It also served as a momentum proving that those who invade and plunder other countries, obsessed with the ambition for dominating other nations, can never evade stern punishment by history.

Japan, which sustained a defeat with the end of World War II, should have drawn a lesson from its disgraceful past and kept itself away from the crime-woven history.

But after the war, Japan has followed a road quite contrary to it.

The Japanese reactionaries have been hell-bent on the moves for turning Japan into a military giant to realize their wild militaristic ambition for overseas aggression, imputing Japan's defeat in World War II to its "poor power".

And they have persistently tried to implant militarism in the whole society of Japan.

What is more intolerable is that the Japanese reactionaries behave more arrogantly like a thief crying "Stop thief" while making an open challenge to the international community urging them to liquidate the crime-woven past.

As an old saying goes, the one neglecting the past has no future.

Japan should never forget a lesson from its defeat.
