Japanese Reactionaries Denounced for Anti-DPRK, Anti-Chongryon Moves

Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Days ago, Japan has taken a sordid discriminatory measure of excluding infant classes of Korean schools from the support system for infant education and child upbringing to be enforced from October and notified it to the local self-governing bodies. It excluded the infant classes of Korean schools under the pretext of "content of education not complying with standard" though it included even those kindergartens and child care facilities not granted by the authorities. Rodong Sinmun on Sunday denounces in a commentary that the reckless moves of the Japanese reactionaries are the vivid expression of national chauvinism peculiar to them and the extension of the hostile policy against the DPRK, truly shabby and cruel moves against the DPRK and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon). The Japanese reactionaries' expansion of discrimination and oppression of Chongryon to the preschool nursing is the unprecedented fascist outrage to expose all the Koreans in Japan to harsh national chauvinism and obliterate their national character, the commentary says, and goes on: Clear is the wickedness and moral meanness peculiar to Japan which violates without hesitation the elementary humanitarianism and morality for political purposes. Intolerable are the Japanese authorities' shameless moves of violently infringing upon the right and dignity of Koreans in Japan while forcing them to face continuous national, legal and institutional discrimination which is the severest in the world. The Japanese authorities must behave with prudence. If the Japanese authorities exclude the infant classes of Korean schools in disregard of the just demand of Koreans in Japan and the fair public opinion of the international community, they will be made to hold full responsibility for all the ensuing consequences. |
