Spirit of Devotedly Defending Leader Displayed in Anti-Japanese Revolutionary War

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- The anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, who liberated Korea on August 15, Juche 34 (1945) through the bloody anti-Japanese war under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, were the models of the spirit of devotedly defending the leader. Anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk is the incarnation of the spirit of devotedly defending the leader. She shot the enemies dead to safeguard Kim Il Sung at the risk of her life at the battle in Dashahe gully in the summer of 1940. And, at the Qingfeng Secret Camp, she fought resolutely against the maneuvers of a counterrevolutionary element who refused his order. She also wonderfully fulfilled her duty of underground activities. Like this, she did not hesitate to go through fire and water to implement his intention. In the period of the arduous march (November 1938-March 1939), O Jung Hup, commanding officer of the 7th Regiment of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army, defended the headquarters by luring the enemy into another place and mowing down them. Besides, there were Ma Tong Hui who bit out his tongue to keep a secret of the headquarters and Kwon Yong Byok and Ri Je Sun who sacrificed their lives true to Kim Il Sung's idea of arousing the broad masses to the struggle against the Japanese imperialists. Revolutionaries who accept the idea and cause of the leader as the most just ones and defend the safety and authority of the leader and implement his idea at the risk of their lives are sure to win--this truth is clearly recorded in the history of the great anti-Japanese war. The spirit of devotedly defending the leader displayed in the days of the anti-Japanese war becomes the most precious treasure of the Korean revolution and the motive power of the victory from one generation into the next. |
