Attending the events were scientists, technicians, teachers, researchers, Three-revolution team members, graduate students and field officials of various units, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy, the Munphyong Smeltery, the Tanchon Smeltery, Wonsan University of Fisheries, the East Sea Fishery Research Institute and the North Hamgyong Provincial Fishery Management Bureau.

Over 210 valuable papers were presented to the events. The papers will be conducive to making greater progress in modernizing the production progresses at nonferrous metal industrial establishments in the Korean style, raising the actual extraction rate in smelting, improving the quality of products and radically developing the fishing industry for the improvement of the people's standard of living.

Lectures were given on problems arising in the field of nonferrous metal industry and on the trend and tendency of fishery development, etc.
