Abdi Kedir, chairman of the Ethiopian Committee for the Study of the Independent Politics, said this in his statement on August 20 on the occasion of the Day of Songun of the DPRK.

He went on:

The imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle the DPRK reached an extreme when socialism collapsed in various countries at the end of the last century.

H.E. Kim Jong Il held higher the banner of Songun at the rigorous time.

He further strengthened the political and military might of the People's Army and wisely led the army to make a breakthrough for economic construction.

I keenly feel how just the Songun politics is, seeing the tragic reality that weak countries turn into the theater of powers' rampage to be devastated, leaving millions of people leading refugee life and that the countries depending on others' "aid" dare not make even a word of protest.

The DPRK which emerged as a full-fledged strategic state is dynamically advancing towards a powerful socialist nation.
