All the production processes of the farms are put on an intensive and germ-free basis.

They are producing thousands of tons of mushrooms a year.

Each year, the mushroom farms in every province, including the Ryugyong and the Wonsan mushroom farms, have produced hundreds of tons of mushrooms of different species.

Those farms were built under the energetic guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The Supreme Leader visited the Posong Mushroom Farm newly built by soldiers of the Korean People's Army in June Juche 102 (2013) and instructed that bases for producing mushrooms in an industrial way should be built in different parts of the country to be conducive to the people's diet.

He also visited the Pyongyang Mushroom Farm which had put its production on a scientific, intensive and industrial basis to give detailed instructions on its management and operation, including the issue of steadily raising the technical knowledge and skills and introducing advanced and practical cultivation methods and the issue of conducting researches for expanding the variety of mushrooms.
