The participants will compete in men's basketball, women's volleyball, table-tennis, Taekwon-do, tug of war and colorful sports and amusement games on a knock-out basis at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, gymnasiums in Chongchun Street, the Taekwon-Do Hall, etc.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission who doubles as vice-chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, and officials and players of ministries and national institutions.

At the end of the ceremony there took place a demonstration of players of the Taekwon-Do Team of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee and other events.
