Students at universities and senior middle schools here played wind instruments in front of the Kim Il Sung Square, Pyongyang Department Store No. 1, the Taedongmun Cinema, etc. so as to rev up the festive mood.

They played revolutionary and militant songs such as "March of Korean Youth", "Young People, Be Loyal to Our Party" and "We Are Mallima Riders."

Art performances were given at the Ponghwa Art Theatre, the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the National Theatre and the Pyongyang Circus Theater here to mark the Youth Day.

Similar performances were also given in South Phyongan Province, South Hamgyong Province, Kaesong City, etc.

There took place in every part of the country this day multifarious sporting and cultural events like dancing parties, brass band performances and sporting and amusement games, which further stirred up the festive mood.
