Senior officials of the Party and the government celebrated the day together with the young people across the country on Wednesday.

?Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, and Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, went to Kim Chaek University of Technology, the Sunchon Cement Complex and the State Academy of Sciences to congratulate young people.

Leading officials of the Party and the government and officials in Pyongyang and local areas spent the holiday together with youth and students at industrial establishments, farms and universities in different parts of the country.

The leading officials laid floral baskets and bouquets and made a bow before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and portraits and mosaics of the smiling peerlessly great men.

?They looked round the revolutionary museums, rooms for the education in the revolutionary history, rooms dedicated to the history of relevant units, worksites and others and gave a pep talk to young persons who are making miracles and innovations in the grand march of self-reliance.

They also watched art performances given by youth and students and sports and amusement games including football and volleyball.
