Rodong Sinmun Thursday says in a commentary:

The crisis in Hong Kong is very serious as the violence of the extremists is far from a democratic demonstration and a crime openly challenging the law and an anti-state act aiming at rejecting the system and opposing the government.

The issue of Hong Kong is getting complicated from day to day, which is by no means extraneous to the outright interference by the West. Now the West is fussing over the issue of Hong Kong as if it is now or never.

In the long run, the issue cannot be construed otherwise than a product of a sinister plot to slander China under the pretexts of "human rights" and "democracy" and furthermore separate China.

As the issue absolutely belongs to the internal affairs of China, no country, organization and individual have the right to meddle in it.

The issue of Hong Kong should be settled in conformity with the will and interests of China.
