The message said the Korean people sincerely hope that the government and the people of Vietnam would register bigger progress in the struggle for developing the economy of the country and improving the people's living standard, expressing pleasure over the fact that the Vietnamese people are attaining the goals for economic development set forth at the 12th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Expressing belief that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries established by the preceding leaders and developing under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries would grow stronger in all fields including economy and culture, the message wished the prime minister success in his work.

On the same day DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho sent a message of greeting to Pham Binh Minh, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Vietnam.
