On display at the trade fair are artificial intelligence products, electronic goods, building materials, light industrial products, household goods and others.

Present at the opening ceremony were Ri Chung Gil, chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, officials concerned, Chinese guests participating in the trade fair and foreign diplomatic envoys here.

Ri Myong Hwan, vice-minister of Construction and Building-Materials Industry, made an opening address to be followed by congratulatory speeches.

Speakers said the trade fair opened in the significant year marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and China would offer an occasion for promoting the friendship and cooperation, strengthening the economic cooperation and exchange and expediting trade activities between the two countries.

They voiced the will to continue to develop the external economic relations between the two countries on a new high stage.

The trade fair will last until September 6.
