Congratulatory Message to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un from Vietnamese President

Pyongyang, September 6 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on Friday on the occasion of the 71st founding anniversary of the DPRK.

In the message, the general secretary on behalf of the party, state and people of Vietnam and on his own behalf extended warm congratulations to the Supreme Leader and, through him, to the Party, state and people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 71st founding anniversary of the DPRK.

He expressed the belief that the Korean people would continue to register bigger successes in their work for the construction and development of the country under the guidance of the WPK headed by Kim Jong Un.

He said that he was pleased to see in the recent traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries such fresh development as Kim Jong Un's official friendly visit to Vietnam in March, 2019.

He noted that the party, state and people of Vietnam attach importance to the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and the DPRK and hope for developing them in conformity with the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the rest of the world.

He wished the Supreme Leader good health and many successes in the performance of his noble duties.
