Precious Titles Given to Educationists in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- In the DPRK, teachers are called career revolutionaries and patriots. President Kim Il Sung, who had shown deep care for the education of rising generations all his life, stressed that the educational work is not merely an occupation but a revolutionary work and a teacher is a career revolutionary training the younger generations into successors to the revolution. This idea on teachers and the educational work is associated with his noble outlook on posterity and future. In June Juche 94 (2005), Chairman Kim Jong Il said that all the teachers, who devoted their all to the education of rising generations, being concerned for the country's future before their household affairs, are patriots. He also saw to it that Order of Teacher's Honor and Medal of Teacher's Honor were enacted to put forward the educationists before the country and the nation. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent his famous work "Teachers Should Fulfill Their Duty as Career Revolutionaries in Implementing the Party's Policy on Bringing About a Radical Turn in Education" to the participants in the 14th National Conference of Teachers on September 3. The participants in the conference and all the teachers across the country are now filled with the fixed will to bring about a great turn in education, cherishing deep in their mind the trust shown by the peerlessly great men for them. |
