Minju Joson commentary Sunday dismisses this as another serious military provocation against the DPRK and a dangerous act of pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula to a dangerous phase.

It continued:

The June 12 DPRK-U.S. joint statement was a historic declaration which solemnly declared to the world the firm will to establish new DPRK-U.S. relations and propel world peace, prosperity and stability.

This commitment made by the two countries before the world and humankind must be implemented with responsibility by both sides.

The DPRK has already taken significant and meaningful measures on its own initiatives, demonstrating its will to follow through on the June 12 DPRK-U.S. joint statement.

The U.S. is obliged to honor the spirit of the June 12 DPRK-U.S. joint statement and stop all military acts rattling and antagonizing the dialogue partner if it truly wishes for peace and stability and improvement of the DPRK-U.S. relations.

But now it is resuming military exercises, whose suspension it is committed to, in and around the Korean peninsula, getting undisguised in the acts of military hostility and seriously getting on the nerves of the DPRK.

Problem is not just limited to it. Now, the islanders are running high fever in the saber-rattling, considering the joint military drills with the U.S. as a golden opportunity for realizing militarist revival and the ambition for reinvasion of the Korean peninsula. This is a serious problem which can never be ignored.

Clouds are bound to bring rain. It is clear what consequences the reckless military acts of the U.S. and the Japanese reactionaries will bring.
