On behalf of the Communist Party, government and people of China, I extend warm congratulations and sincere wishes to you Comrade Chairman and, through you, to the Workers' Party of Korea and the government and people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the DPRK.

The Korean people have steadily advanced the socialist revolution and construction under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea for 71 years since its foundation.

I am convinced that the Korean socialist cause is sure to achieve a new great success under the leadership of the WPK headed by Comrade Chairman.

Comrade Chairman made four visits to China since last year and I paid a successful state visit to the DPRK in June this year.

I am rejoiced over the fact that the broad common understanding made between us is being actively put into practice.

I am ready to carry forward and develop the traditional China-DPRK friendship together with Comrade Chairman and propel the further development of the friendly and cooperative ties between the two countries in the new historical period and thus bring greater happiness to the two countries and two peoples.

I wish Comrade Chairman good health and hope that all things would go well.
