The President embarked on the road of revolution in his teens and achieved the historic cause of Korea's liberation by leading the 20-year-long anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to victory.

After the liberation of Korea on August 15, Juche 34 (1945), he set forth the unique nation-building line, the political line of founding the democratic people's republic suited to the character and duty of the Korean revolution and the desire of the Korean people on several occasions.

To this end, he established the local power organs first and organized the Provisional People's Committee of North Korea (PPCNK), the central government, in February 1946.

Later, he issued the "Twenty-point Platform" to be carried out by the PPCNK, thus providing a banner of struggle for achieving the independent reunification of Korea and the country's democratic development.

Under his wise guidance, the PPCNK was developed into the People's Committee of North Korea in February 1947.

The President's guidance for founding an all-Korea central government and the successes in the democratic construction served as a solid basis for the foundation of the DPRK.

And the national flag, emblem and anthem came into being under his sagacious direction.

On the basis of such preparations, the President issued a statement on the transfer of power at the 1st Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK on September 8, 1948, and declared the foundation of the glorious DPRK on September 9, the next day.
