Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- It is the fixed will of the Workers' Party of Korea to stabilize the life of the citizens in the typhoon-stricken areas by pressing ahead with the rehabilitation work, and glorify this year of weighty importance in attaining the goals of the 5-year strategy for national economic development with victory and success, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in an editorial. Noting the officials of the Party and power organs, the working people and the servicepersons of the units of the Korean People's Army in the typhoon-stricken areas are dynamically pushing ahead with the recovery work, true to the intention of the Party, the editorial goes on: We should finish the recovery work in the shortest period of time by dint of the great army-civilian unity and thus explicitly show the world what the advantages and invincibility of Korean-style socialism creating the epic of warm love for the people under the wise leadership of the Party are. All should buckle down to the recovery work, bearing deep in mind that the on-going campaign for recovery from typhoon damage is not merely the one for tackling natural disaster but the one for preserving and defending the dignity and prestige of the Party and the single-minded unity. All efforts should be concentrated on the recovery work. Working people in all areas, fields and units should give full play to the traditional traits of socialist Korea that all people turn out as one in a great support campaign although it is a disaster suffered by only a village or a region. They should render active support to the citizens in the typhoon-hit areas both materially and morally. We should give full play to the might of the army-civilian coordinated operation to get rid of typhoon damage. The editorial calls on everyone to turn out as one in the recovery work and round it off as early as possible and thus step up the socialist construction more dynamically. |
