Rodong Sinmun Criticizes Japanese Reactionaries' Inhumanity
Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- The Supreme Court of Japan recently turned down the appeal lodged by the Osaka Korean School against exclusion of the Korean schools from the tuition-free program for senior high schools.

Criticizing this, Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a commentary:

The above-said act is just a manifestation of stubborn and hideous chauvinism of the Japanese reactionaries to stamp out the national education of Koreans and revive the assimilation education dating back to the period of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea and of heinous hostile policy of the Japanese reactionaries toward the DPRK and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

It is the moral obligation of the Japanese government to protect the children of the Korean nationals in Japan, treat them just like the Japanese students and guarantee legally and institutionally that they enjoy their democratic freedom and rights.

Asserting that the children of the Korean nationals in Japan receive national education with the nationality of the DPRK, the Japanese regime raised an unjust "standard" and is going to trample down their right to learn. This is an unpardonable human rights abuse.

The Korean nationals are obliged to pay taxes like the Japanese. So there is no reason for them to be the targets of discriminations.

The Japanese Supreme Court's rejection is aimed to deprive the children of the Korean nationals in Japan of their right to learn at any cost.

The reckless behavior of the Japanese reactionaries is just a replica of the atrocity committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past to obliterate the Korean nationality and assimilate the Korean people to Japanese by desperately pursuing the unethical chauvinist policy.
