In the message, Zhirinovsky extended his heartfelt congratulations to Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the founding of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the important day in the history of the Korean people.

The message said that a socialist independent state was founded in the northern half of the Korean peninsula in the mid-20th century, adding this was an important event in the socio-political life of the people in the Asia-Pacific region.

The message went on:

Under your leadership the DPRK is confidently advancing towards a new victory while developing the ideas of Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, the eternal leaders, despite the sanctions and military threats by the U.S. and its allies.

The message hoped that Kim Jong Un would make more successes in the building of socialist Korea and that peace and stability would be settled in the Korean peninsula and the Russia-DPRK cooperation be boosted.
