On display at the venue of the show were photos dealing with the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il together with preceding leaders of Laos in developing the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Present at the photo show were Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee who doubles as chairman of the DPRK-Laos Friendship Association, Ryu Myong Son, vice-department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and working people in the city.

It was attended by the visiting delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) led by Phankham Viphavanh, member of the Political Bureau of the LPRP Central Committee, permanent secretary of the Secretariat of the LPRP Central Committee and vice-president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and Sisavath Khamsaly, Lao ambassador to the DPRK, and members of his embassy.

Diplomatic envoys and members of embassies of ASEAN countries here were invited to the event.

Speeches were made there.

Speakers said that the first meeting between the two presidents was a historic occasion which provided the friendly relations between the two countries with socialism as the common ideal.

The DPRK-Laos friendship which was formed and cemented by the preceding leaders of the two countries continues to develop under the special care of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and President Bounnang Vorachith, they noted.

They vowed to strive to value the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation and develop them in a comprehensive way in the future, too.
