The event was attended by teachers, researchers and postgraduates of more than 20 units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry and the State Academy of Sciences.

The event was held, divided into such panels as metal, inorganic chemical, organic chemical and chemical compound materials. More than 100 treatises containing successes and experience gained in studying metal and chemical materials and over 60 kinds of exhibits were presented.

There were a lecture and a video show on study of metal and chemical materials and their applications and prospect of their development.
